Hi Brian, thank you for the follow-up on my question. I have 2 issues both regarding the cycle time.
I forget to respond to the group in my feedback - So responding again to the group so others can benefit :) .
1)Playback calculation of Total Cycle time when the process contains parallel activities
I am using Blueworks live "playback" function to analyze my work process and cycle time. During playback analysis of cycle time, Blueworks Live is calculating Cycle time for parallel activities like they are sequenced activities. For instance, it calculates Total cycle time as 12 days for 2 Parallel activities A with cycle time of 4 days and activity B with cycle time of 8 days. It should be total cycle time of 8 days. Kindly advise on how to set it up so that it considers the order of the activities when analyzing cycle time.
2) Analyze: cycle time analysis Panel displays a header value that does not correspond to the total cycle time (with or without parallel tasks considered)
The Analyze function displays a Cycle Time Analysis Panel - on the header is a value that does not correspond to the Total Cycle time of the process. It appears it may be displaying the highest value of all individual task cycle time. Can you

Hi Olafunke,
Please send me a message describing your issue in more depth. Jared is no longer with Salient, but we can probably still help you. My email is bafrench@salientprocess.com.

HI, I am experiencing same issue in my cycle time playback analysis. Would you be able to please share the solution you applied to fix it when you had the same issue.
Thanks.

Hi Jared, that would be fantastic! Can you also give access to Kevin Ellington?
Thank you,

Hi Erica, you may be interested in a tool we built that sits on top of IBM Blueworks Live. It started as a simulation tool to capture the information you are trying to get with the Playback (and adds other variables such as gateway probability, volume, etc.). It is current a free tool and I'd be happy to get you access if you are interested. Thanks!
Kind regards,
Jared

Thanks for that link, Stephanie! Just submitted my idea to the portal. Hoping they can make that enhancement in BWL, it would be extremely beneficial for my team.
Best,

Hi Erica,
We talked about this and think it's because of the way we calculate total time with resource time. It would be good to submit an request for enhancement for this here: https://dba.ideas.ibm.com/
Thanks!

I'm running through a playback and analyzing cycle time. I've got two parallel activities that happen at the same time-each are 5 days. Is there a way for BWL to calculate the total of both activities as just 5 days instead of 10 days when I run through the playback?
