Hi all,

We are using Entry Templates in ICN. I have two documents with the same security policy (identical permissions). One document was created in ICN, while the other was created through an integration.

When a user views the document properties of the ICN-created document, the Security tab is visible. However, when the same user views the properties of the document created through the integration, the Security tab is NOT visible.

I've compared both documents but cannot identify any differences between them. Can you help determine why there is a discrepancy in how the document properties are displayed?

Hi Jana, a few things to check here. If you can query the DB directly take the ID of the document in question and your other known good ID, compare the security_id value from docversion. Is it the same? From your integration is the code setting ACLs or taking the default from the class? Another thing to check, does your good document added in ICN was it added via a template? Double check the security settings in the template.  Last but not least double check the security inheritance from folder(s) if filed and ensure the security policy ID is the same. I suspect through this investigation you will find a difference.
