    Hello team,

We are facing an issue where security inheritance is not working though ACCE.

We we add a user in the security panel of an object store with a total control on the object and all childs, the security is not propagated to childs.

For example the user cannot create Document class even we add it in the object store security level, we try also to add it in the the document level security panel but the user still not have rights to create classes.

You need to use the security script wizard with the default sample and add the new users/groups to the admin role it provides. That script will recursively set all the administrative rights required.

Update object store with new users and groups - IBM Documentation

Inheritance from the Object Store object to all children has never worked in the way you were expecting it to b/c of the way the object model actually functions. The Object Store object resides in the GCD, for security inheritance, my understanding is that its children are only the descendent objects that also reside in the GCD. The Object Store itself has no root security parent for all objects (because remember, classes are objects too...), so the security script wizard default template is set to recursively update all of the root security parents across the object store.

    Hope this helps!

    Best,

    Eric

    Did you resolve your issue?

If not, did you try using the security script wizard to ensure the security update got propagated to existing objects? See here for more details: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/filenet-p8-platform/5.5.12?topic=security-script-wizard

As far as I remember, the changes you made will apply to new objects, for exisiting objects you will have to use the security script as other members mentioned.

Hope you solved this, good luck!
