IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT)

Hi Team,

I have ILMT application in two different environments with 9.2.31 version. 

1. Prod Instance ILMT application 9.2.31 on Linux server with DB2 11.5.7 and managed by 1000+ servers.
2. Test Instance ILMT application 9.2.31 on Linux server with DB2 11.5.7 and managed by 300+ servers.

We are generating the ILMT SW report from two different instance (Prod and Test) and sharing the Inventory report for validation to our Internal team. 

Is there any option to share one single report with both Test and Prod instance servers Inventory status? For example, generate Test Instance report and upload into Prod ILMT application and then generate all the servers with combined inventory report. (Want to know any option is available in ILMT) 

(we don't have N/W communication between Prod and Test Instance).

There is no way direct way to combine reports from two different ILMT instances into one cumulative report.

What you could do is to use REST API (like 'api/sam/v2/software_instances') to retrieve the list of all software instances from both and use some scripting to combine the results...

Thanks for your updates and we are trying to use Audit snapshot report from both the instance for audit validation.

So while sharing the audit report to the team, they requested single report with both the instance data Instead of two different audit report from two different Instance web console.

If we use REST API to get the Audit report and then could you share me some examples or refer link to get that?

Hello Nagarajan,

In case of Audit Snapshot there is no way to use REST API.
My previous suggestion was strict for combining Soft Inventory reports... 

Some time ago an extra RFE for REST API to generate Audit Snapshot report been opened :
