  • 1.  ILMT vmmanagers API not working

    Hello,

    I want to use the vmmanagers API to add several vm manager connections, but when I try to send the PUT request I only get the following response from ILMT:

    main_error ---------- No content in the request

    Also when I try to read out the existing connections via API the response is just empty. Does anyone know why?

    Hi Simon

    Thank you for your question.

    You use the GET operation on the api/sam/vmmanagers element to request information about VM managers

    that are defined in your infrastructure.

    You use the PUT operation on the api/sam/vmmanagers element to add or update VM managers. You can perform these actions only for VM managers that are managed in central mode.

    It also returns information from virtualization technologies that do not require defining connection to the VM manager such as Xen or KVM without RHV-M.

    The scope of VM managers from which data is collected depends on which VM Manager Tools are installed on computers that belong to the computer group to which you are assigned.

    Hi leepl1,

    thank you for you reply. I'm using the local vm manager tool which is automatically installed together with the License Metric Tool Server. Version of ILMT is 9.2.29. I have one vm manager connection configured, but the GET operation response is empty. I have already tested other GET operations like the one for the license usage and they are working well. This looks like a bug to me.

    Hi,

    I want to bring this topic up again. I have the same issue, ILMT 9.2.30, multiple local VM managers configured via REST API put request but I can not now GET list of them, receiving only [].

    Is it 'working as designed' ?
