ILMT support on Openstack (RedHat) KVM

    Hi

We are working with a customer that is running VM's from openstack sitting on top of RedHat's KVM.  From the below link it would seem that once they configure the Red Hat KVM VM manager that they should be able to see the VM's supported within OpenStack.  Does this mean that they would be able to support a sub-cap license model within this configuration ?

Hi, OpenStack is a higher level VM management layer on top of set of regular VM hypervisors (like KVM, VMware, Xen, etc.) working in the background. Bacause of this if the scenario here is to use OpenStack for managing VMs running in subcapacity eligible hypervisor, then connecting ILMT VM Manager connection directly to such underlying hypervisor is fully supported, possible and should be used. If OPsnStack is to be used on top of hypervisor which is currently not subcapacity eligible, please provide details what exactly it is.)

    Hello,

It looks like a supported setup for Sub-Capacity licensing model as long as this RedHat's KVM is listed as one of the supported virtualization technologies:
