  • 1.  Datacap Upgration from V8.1 to V9.1.9

    Hi Friend,
     
    I am Shehan 
     
    I need some advice to upgrade IBM Datacap from v8.1 to v9.1.9
     
    For now, I want to test the upgrade at the UAT level, where there are RuleRunner, Taskmaster, and Taskmaster web that hope after upgrading can still work well
     
    1. Is there a prerequisite to update? and what are the steps?
    2. Do I need to uninstall v8.1? 
    3. Please give me another advice.

    To get from 8x to 9.x, you need to get to Install 9.0.1 + run 9.0.1 DB scripts. 

    There was a change in the DB schema.  See links.
    https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/upgrade-paths-8x-9x

    Once you get to 9.01 and using the new db scheme, Upgrading to newer version of Datacap like 9.1.9 is just a in-place upgrade. 
    So get  your system updated to 9.01 with the updated schema, do you db migration, test everything out and make sure everything is working.

    Then upgrade to latest version.
