    Posted Sun September 01, 2024 09:04 PM

    Hello,

we are getting an error on TIF pages when open batches in Datacap Navigator Verify: Unable to display document: Render failed (Page 1). Does anyone know which/what configuration needs to be done? Any help would be appreciated:

    • Datacap 9.1.9 iFix5
    • ICN Buile: icn3013.002.137

    Thanks,

    Damian

Is this on all tiff or just certain tiff?   If it's all tiff, this is most likely cause by Daeja viewer needs to be updated.

Yes, this is on all TIFFs. I will check the version of Daeja viewer.

    Thank you,

    Damian

FYI, for others: this turned out to be a certificate issue on the Websphere server, as we had Deaja Viewer already installed.

Out of curiously, what was the issue over in WAS certificate?  Was it expired?  I would imagine some logs was captured in the system.out showing cert issue?

We have a server admin team which does work on our servers, so I can only go on what was passed on to  me. We did see a cert error in the SystemOut log, a while back, and our server admins seemed to have cleared that. We were also dealing with an issue calling external services from the EDS service (I/O exception): com.ibm.jsse2.util.h: PKIX path building failed: com.ibm.security.cert.IBMCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

I believe they "added the Java CAcerts and the Root CAcert for the external service to the Websphere internal trust store". There might have been more done but that's what I was told. While testing the EDS service calls, I noticed the pages were rendering.

Good to know. I now see the fields with the red x next to it.  Must be EDS external call.  Kinda hard to imagine the EDS causing Deaja failing to render the image.

I believe while trying to track-down/fix the EDS service call issue, they inadvertently fixed the render. I did notice "repository access" errors in the logs that were independent of EDS, and seemed to point to the page renders - not all of our apps/verify panels use EDS, so the render issue was not caused by EDS issues.
