I am interested to learn how others are collecting and publishing big picture metrics about their content systems.  Let's focus on content items first. Things like how many items are we storing and what is the total size for all items.  Yes it would be nice to see, yearly, monthly weekly daily break downs of this metric as well.

    Hi Chuck,

Kabeus sells a product, Case Librarian, that manages and generates solution and environment documentation of IBM systems.  The product uses the artifacts that are already generated by the systems, and extracts some of its own from the backend systems to produce documentation of how they're configured, tuned and operated.  That includes statistical reports for class usage, mime type usage, creation and update rates.  The documentation is produced in Microsoft Word and Excel mostly, and stored back in IBM FileNet. It includes heatmaps, graphical representation of structures and time based analysis of information, which is what I believe you've asked.  You can see more at Case Librarian .
