Sneak Peak: 2023 TechXchange labs for Business Automation

Our team is very excited about the upcoming TechXchange conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. After the Vegas TechXchange event, we are planning  European and AP events. 

Read on for a first look at some of the offerings in the Business Automation track hands-on labs. Titles and descriptions are subject to change as we refine the content and we will be adding more as well.

Title Description
Low Code Decision Management End-to-End implementation in Cloud Pak for Business Automation This lab demonstrates how to analyze, automate and govern rules-based business decisions via a low-code development approach. The solution can authorize a loan (lab scenarios), decide on promotional offers, or detect a cross-sell opportunity with high precision and customization.
This lab offers Business and IT tracks via Decision Server Rules and Decision Center with the lab scenarios including ruleflow editing, filtering Decision Tables, Decision Operations, Decision Services, and more.
Hands-on with IBM Business Automation Manager Open Edition for Decisions and Processes on OpenShift In this session, we give a brief overview of what's available within IBM Business Automation Manager Open Edition, the enterprise offering for open-source projects:  Kogito, Drools and jBPM. You will create a Decision Service using DMN and deploy a sample service to OpenShift, edit a process, and see sample usages of other new features found in the latest release.
Working with Content Services GraphQL In this session, you learn how to do queries and mutations with Content Services GraphQL API.
You use the API in GraphQL, an in-browser integrated development environment (IDE) to create, read, update, and delete (CRUD) Content Platform Engine objects such as Document Properties, Documents, and Folders. The hands-on lab includes an IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA) environment with the IBM FileNet P8 Platform deployment. Each participant gets their own virtual machine (VM) to work in a multi-tenant configuration. 
Reimagining the future of work with Watson Orchestrate in action In this Hands-on lab session, you will be introduced to the core concepts of Watson Orchestrate and build a digital worker using a set of pre-built automation services. You will  easily discover an existing automation/integration service, convert it into a skill, use it to create a composite flow,  and publish it to the skill catalog.
A Technical Workshop Harnessing Watson Orchestrate and RPA for Interview Coordination Discover the power of automation in interview coordination with Watson Orchestrate and RPA. This technical lab equips you with the knowledge and practical skills to streamline interview processes. Explore the capabilities of Watson Orchestrate in orchestrating tasks, while leveraging RPA bots for repetitive tasks like scheduling and communication. Learn to integrate both technologies for end-to-end automation. Empower your organization to attract top talent efficiently with this transformative workshop.
Provide a 360-degree view of work to help drive more successful business outcomes with IBM Business Automation Workflow IBM Business Automation Workflow is software that combines business process management and case management capabilities in a single integrated workflow solution. In this lab, learn how to  unite process and users to provide a 360-degree view of work to help drive more successful business outcomes.
Understand the value of records management capabilities in IBM Content Services

IBM Enterprise Records is part of IBM Content services and an add-on to IBM FileNet Content Manager. It provides an enterprise platform for automating records management from creation to disposition, and helps managing risk and reducing compliance costs while achieving, sustaining, and proving compliance with corporate governance and industry-specific regulations.

In this 90 minutes session, you will understand how IBM defines records management, what benefits IBM Enterprise Records can bring to organizations, and learn the main concepts of records management through hands-on exercises.
