Integrating IBM RPA Chatbot with Website

IBM RPA unique feature is a chatbot which can be developed in the Studio. Like a normal bot it can do various automation tasks. Its main benefit comes when we embed it into a webpage. While many would be aware of how to develop a script or would have seen the chatbot functionality in the Studio, there might be some confusion in how the full flow works - starting from developing a chatbot and finally embedding that in a webpage.

Here in the first video you would see - how the integrated IBM RPA chatbot looks like in a website, to get the gist. You can customize the design of the chatbot according to your needs which would be shown in the second video.

Now, how we can achieve the above thing shown in the video? For that we have to develop a script in Studio, do chatbot mappings in RPA Control Center and embed the chatbot in webpage through an endpoint.

All of this is being shown here in the second video -

Here you can find more information and slides on exposing chatbots externally, though these slides were created around a year ago and some information might be slightly outdated - https://ibm.box.com/s/cr5s4vghkh6z8y0gtg5m36k5dbtwqpbk

Here you can find the sample files related to chatbot (WAL, HTML, CSS) which were used in video along with some extra files - https://ibm.box.com/s/r9gcsx1k0xp3o83ym0kgnc3efolsh0lp

Hope this post/blog clarifies much of the things for you. If you have any question regarding this post, feel free to ask it here.
