Digital Business Automation - Content release new features to support External Collaboration, Enhanced Security and new simplified licensing models

I am delighted to report that IBM FileNet Content Manager v5.5.2, IBM Content Navigator v3.0.5 and IBM Daeja ViewONE v5.0.5 became available December 13th, 2018. These continuous delivery releases represent tremendous additional value and benefits for customers as we start the new year. 

 

IBM FileNet Content Manager is a content services platform that allows you to:

  • Securely manage enterprise content required to support business processes, improve decision making and enable regulatory compliance.  
  • Quickly find the right content regardless of location or classification.
  • Unify access to content from anywhere, on any device, from multiple disparate repositories wherever they reside.
  • Promote collaboration with supply chain partners and clients by securely sharing documents with external users. 
  • Choose from multiple implementation options including on-premise, multi-cloud and SaaS for maximum deployment flexibility. 

 

Release highlights:

  • External Share has been enhanced to enable two-way collaboration with external participants and the ability to share folders
  • Store your FileNet Content Manager system encryption keys in an external Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) compliant key management system 
  • Apply document holds to content stored in Write Once Read Many (WORM) storage devices
  • New Concurrent User licensing and available Processor Value Unit licensing provides customers with additional choice to better align with business needs
  • Increased value with these add-on features now included as standard:
    • FileNet P8 Storage Connectors
    • Daeja Microsoft Office module
    • Daeja Permanent Redaction module
    • Daeja Viewer (standalone)
    • Content Engine Bulk Import Tool
