Entitlement to IBM Storage Fusion Essentials

Entitlement to Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA) 23.0.2 provides clients with entitlement to IBM Storage Fusion Essentials. This offers customers entitlement to storage without purchasing an additional storage license, and includes support for Block, File and Object Storage. Included in Storage Fusion Essentials through CP4BA entitlement:

  • Fusion Data Foundation internal deployment mode up to 12TB per cluster. This includes compression, cluster-wide encryption and cross-availability zone HA.

  • No usage time limit

  • Fully supported by IBM

  • Customers may choose to purchase IBM Storage Fusion Advanced for the following additional features:

    • Capacity requirements above 12TB per cluster

    • External mode deployment

    • Backup

    • Disaster Recovery

    • Global Data Platform (Storage Scale)

    • Data Catalog

    • Advanced encryption with external key management

Federal Market

Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) are now supported for all components except Business Automation Insights and IBM Enterprise Records. Supporting FIPS means meeting strict federal security standards. It involves using validated encryption like AES for secure data handling, ensuring safe storage and transmission. This compliance also entails secure key management and rigorous testing, ensuring customers' sensitive information remains protected.
