Introducing the addition of a watsonsx.ai Large Language Model (LLM) action library to IBM Datacap. Watsonx.ai and IBM Datacap work synergistically to enhance Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions. Leveraging LLMs reduces the burden on Datacap developers and accelerates the creation and deployment of Datacap applications and improves field extraction on variable forms.

For IBM Datacap customers, the action library enables the use of any watsonx.ai Large Language Model (LLM) to simplify implementation of document classification and metadata extraction. Document types, including invoices, bills, purchase orders, tax forms, and more can be easily identified without training a model and metadata can be readily extracted by simply naming the fields in an LLM prompt. IBM Datacap 9.1.9 iFix5 users​ can now download and install the new action library. To use this library, users must also have an available watsonx.ai installation.
