I attended two live Business Automation User Group meet-ups in August and there was one topic on everyone’s mind: moving content and applications to the cloud. It seems that whether public or private sector, the mandates are coming from leadership to start preparing for cloud deployments. Most organizations seem to think it is inevitable, though many say they are not yet fully prepared, or even fully aware of all that is necessary to shift their enterprise software to a cloud-based model.
This explains why the third episode of “The Practitioners,” on Thursday, September 8 at 12 Noon ET, will focus on Cloud Migration, just as the first two have. The new series started by the Public Sector User Group, invites an experienced Business Automation specialist to explore a practical topic faced by IBM Business Automation developers and program managers, and lately, it’s The Cloud.
Tim Pascarella is a Senior Automation Technical Specialist for IBM who has helped many IBM Business Automation customers migrate content and applications to the Cloud. Along the way, he developed a list of do’s and don’ts, based on front line experience. Tim has accepted the challenge to be this month’s special guest on “The Practitioners” and share his experiences, customer examples, and Best Practices. These sessions are interactive, so bring your questions, trepidations and reflections.
I look forward to another lively conversation.
