Year End Thanks To The Midwest User Group

The Midwest User Group has been bringing together IBM ECM and Automation users for a long time. A few years ago, the Minnesota and Wisconsin chapters merged and started alternating Events, where IBMers and local customers would gather to review product plans and capabilities and customers would offer learnings and best practices.

When the Pandemic shut down the possibility of live events, the Midwest User Group stepped up and created a full-day virtual extravaganza in 2020 and made it available to all who wanted to attend. IBM’s Vicki Miller curated a great program with clients like Kemper Insurance and Auto-Owners Insurance telling their stories and IBM Product Managers giving a deep roadmap and strategy presentation.

While all had hoped for a live event in 2021, the situation dictated another virtual event. Vicki worked alongside co-presidents Michael Custard (State of Minnesota) and Matt Passini, Acuity Insurance, to shape another full day on September 22, exploring the theme of Modernization. Wells Fargo Bank shared their FileNet Modernization story and experts from Innovative Discovery (previously Integro) had a deep panel discussion on the topic. If you'd like to revisit or if you missed it, we gathered all the recordings here.

The Midwest User Group was also part of the “Open House” during the November Community Festival, where IBM’s Laurent Clermont showed the new low code workflow tool and discussed moving Business Automation Workflow to the cloud.

If you missed the 60-minute session, here is a recording of the talk.

Thank you all for your participation in this User Group in 2021.  I hope to see you all next year.
