The IBM research team have asked for our communities help, and I'm sure we can. As a community it is our opportunity to get involved and shape the future user experience for Maximo (no RFEs in sight!!)
The Maintenance Manager Role Based Application (RBA) is part of our work to develop a new user experience within Maximo. It follows on from the work we have done with Maximo Mobile. Other than configuration of a Start Center we have not had a place which directly supports the manager role. We anticipate the Maintenance Manager RBA would be a template for similar roles such as Operations Manager. We have completed initial research and have a draft 'to be' journey map and high level screen mock ups that we are looking to review with customers. We have had input from many customers but so far no UK based customer. The basic research consists of a 30 mins - 1 hour interview, and then if customers are interested to engage further as the work progresses there would be an opportunity to do that. Job titles vary a lot but our aim is to interview customer personnel with the role of maintenance manager, operations manager or similar. It's an opportunity for customers to engage in creating the future desk top experience in Maximo.
