Hi Andy,
Thanks for your continued support with the user group and it's a great suggestion for a table topic at the first meeting in 2019, I'm interested as to whether our other users in the community would like it as a topic?
What do you think users, do you like the sound of Andy's proposal? Do you have other topics you want to get answers to and discuss with experts?
The topics for the November meeting are:
7.6 Road Map - Get into the detail with Kim Woodbury (IBM)
7.6 Upgrades - User experiences from Perfetti and Premier Oil inc. work centres and Maximo Anywhere
'Testing Maximo - Time to automate?' - CODE Development
BIM - what's involved? - MACs
MaxTech - 'Cool Non-BIRT Reporting Technique' - BPD
Get inspired about Asset Management - John Woodhouse
Registration is also now open for the event.....http://bit.ly/MUG2018Novembr

Richard,
We would be happy to do another table-top session.
Something along the lines of
"Practical user training for Maximo and Mobile Apps" we will bring some examples of what works well for larger projects as well as smaller updates and changes.
Many Thanks

Hi Paul,
Thanks for getting in touch and for your suggestion. As part of the next user group meeting in November, we have two short presentations from fellow users that have made that leap to the latest version of Maximo. They are also going to host a table in the 'Table Topics' session, meaning you will certainly be able to get into discussions on the subject. From a personal point of view, just getting rid of the customisations has been enough to start opening up functionality and possibilities for our business.
Maybe there are some best practices that IBM and our partners could share? Are there any other users who would like to share their experiences? We're always on the lookout for presentations and experiences to share with the rest of the group and we are starting to plan for 2019, so keep them coming.
See you at the next meeting.
p.s. registration is OPEN for the 29th November

Hi Richard,
I'd like to suggest the following topic if it hasn't been dealt with recently.
'Keeping Current'
How do medium to large organisations approach applying Maximo Feature Packs and Modifications?
Gaining new functionality that fulfills business requirements, ensuring bug fixes are entered into the system, etc. Does it even matter when you have a stable system as long as the version is still supported?
What sort of upgrade cycles are in place and how much time is spent between the first test upgrade and Production?

Hello Maximo UK-Ireland User Group Members,
The date for the next Maximo UK and Ireland User Group meeting is 29th November and we are coming back to London, to Avonmouth House. With huge thanks to Arrow, BPD, CognitoIQ and Interloc Solutions for sponsoring the event. It promises to be another eventful day with presentations from Perfetti and Premier Oil and their journeys to 7.6, are you about to make the leap?
For those of us that couldn't make it to Maximo World we have the Maximo roadmap.
Following its successful debut in Birmingham, we have another round of the popular 'Table Topics', where you, the user has chance to get interactive with the experts and fellow Maximo users to get answers to those niggly problems and gain insights into how others are using Maximo. Please let us know if there are specific table topics you would like to see at the next meeting by replying to this message.
Additionally, BPD Zenith will be carrying out MaxTech training at the meeting as well. More agenda details and registration will follow shortly.
Add the date to your diary, we also have some news about 2019………..!
