The Maximo Utility Working Group (MUWG) was formed in March 1998 as an industry group representing 150 investor-owned, municipal and federal utilities, throughout North America. The group's primary function is the exchange information related to the implementation, application and use of the IBM Maximo Asset Management system.
MUWG has conducted 28 user meeting over the last 14years with over 2800 members in attendance. The MUWG workshops are successful because the meeting is €œuser-driven€ with a Steering Committee made up of utility member representatives providing leadership.
Typical meetings include presentation and breakout session on water, gas and electric transmission and distribution, hydro, fossil and nuclear power generation and water/wastewater collection and treatment.
