  • 1.  MAXIMO Maps - How to associate it to the site

    Hello,

    We are using MAXIMO 7.6.1.3 and we are trying to configure the Maps using Google maps (no GIS integration at this time). 

    I did the following so far:
    1) Get Google MAP API Keys 
    2) Added a new map titled "LBLMAP1" in  MAXIMO
    3) Map provider name: Google Maps
    4) Google map authentication method : APIKeys
    5) Pasted Google Api from step 1
    Kept the remaining fields (e.g. enable https, distance matrix service url etc) as default 
    Enabled the map and saved the contents.
    Now go to Asset, queries the asset 50DPNL004 , go to "Map" tab, however it gives following error:

    Based on the message, it seems that I need to associate a site to this map. However in the site table window, it does NOT allow adding site.

    Any clue how we can associate the map to the site?

    Hi Pankaj,

    In the Map Manager App, select the Google Maps you have created. In the Section Sites you need to enter or select the site of your choice. Keep in mind that the Org and Site must have been created before you add a map via the Map Manager Application.

    See screenshot below:

    1 - select site or,
    2 - enter a new record and
    3 - select or enter the site you want tom use
    4 - Enter both latitude / longitude.  (manually or by Initial extend action (this will open the map where you can move and zoom to the correct zoom level)

    Number 4 is also a good test to see whether the API connection to your Google account is valid and SSL settings are correct. Take into account that in MAS8 you must use the SSL enabled protocol (https:// instead of http://)

    Hello,

    I thank you for your help.

    In our installation, somehow the "select site" and "add row" buttons are not visible. I couldn't find any sig option or conditional expression on those buttons.

    We are working with our application provider on this
