TRIRIGA Tip: Mobile App for Work Tasks

By Joshua Meurer posted Wed April 08, 2020 01:13 PM

Hello from the TRIRIGA offering management team.

This is the first of several best practices that will be published over the next few months to help our clients and community by pointing out TRIRIGA capabilities - maybe some that have been overlooked - that may prove to be valuable as you navigate through this rapidly evolving landscape for real estate and facilities management.

But first, If you need help addressing urgent business concerns, we have industry experts who are ready to help you.

As I noted above, we wanted to highlight some features within TRIRIGA that might help. Today’s tip - use the TRIRIGA mobile app for work tasks.

  • How to notify staff of practices and tasks with a mobile perceptive app.
The TRIRIGA 10.6 release included a mobile web (perceptive) app aimed at technicians as they complete their work tasks. This update included features to expose procedure libraries in the mobile work task view, and help technicians document that they completed all the steps.

For example, you can use this capability to inform staff of new cleaning practices, and help staff document adherence to those new practices. Details can be seen here in this recorded presentation at minute 20:27, which is part of an enablement session for IBM TRIRIGA UX Framework - 3.6.0 / 10.6.0 Work Task Services.

The following 3 steps, with UI snapshots from IBM TRIRIGA, summarizes the function for you.

STEP-1: Access the assigned tasks.

STEP-2: View procedural information to complete the task.

STEP-3: Track completion status for the procedure steps in the task.

I hope you have found this information helpful. Let my colleague Linda Okoniewski, at lindao@us.ibm.com or I know if you have TRIRIGA tips that you’ve implemented. We will be happy to review and publish here - or you are welcome to directly post in this forum.

In addition, you may want to check out the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) site. IFMA is publishing a Coronavirus Resource Center to help their members manage the new challenges posed by COVID-19. As a Corporate Sustaining Partner of IFMA, we have found their research and information to be valuable, so wanted to recommend that you take a look.

Thanks for your continued support of the TRIRIGA community.
