Symptom 

In TBM Studio, you click the Close Branch button on the Project tab. However the branched project cannot be closed and you receive a warning message similar to the following:

What's going on

The branch you tried to close was created from the build that is currently in your Production environment and is, therefore, in use. 

Resolution

You will need to promote the next build from Staging, to Production (How?), in order to close the branch.
