Hello. We are in 12.7. Did the editable tables make it into the reporting layer? as Craig M mentioned?

Nothing involving editable tables on the reporting layer is generally available in any release of R12. Until that changes there will not be videos on community showing such functionality as being a newly available feature.

Will there be any follow up videos showing the reporting layer?

Modifying an editable table itself will not trigger calculations (None of the calculations can directly reference it), When you feed the editable table into a table transform, that will trigger calculations within dev.

@Stephen Atwell, thanks for clarifying this. I've been curious about this feature in R12.

Whenever we have users enter data into the editable table, will their saved inputs then trigger calculations in DEV?

When available editable tables will be editable in production, and edits done will show up in all environments simultaneously.

Craig,

thanks for the nice video! I have another question: if it is possible to add editable tables to the reporting surface will it also be possible to edit them in production environment or just in development? Thanks

Kim,

While not directly covered in this video editable tables will be able to be added to the reporting surface in the near future (with release 12.6). This feature is in Early Access - but editable tables will be added via the adhoc window like any other table.

Hope this helps.

Good video, however I didn't see how the user would enter data.  Our users would not be accessing CT through Studio.  We need user input tables to be presented in the "presentation" layer.
