Updates

This release includes updates to the DataLink manager, agent, and engine. To take advantage of the updates, please contact your Apptio Customer Success manager to coordinate a time to upgrade.

Features and user interface changes

Web proxy is now supported in the agent. You configure web proxy URL and credentials in the agent UI.

Known issues related to web proxy configuration

Some customers may have a web proxy (transparent or explicit) configured to decrypt traffic between the DataLink manager and agent, and serves the agent an unsigned certificate that is different from that of the manager. This will cause the agent to refuse to connect to the manager due to the security feature the DataLink agent/manager employs to avoid man-in-the-middle attacks. If this happens in an on-premise agent deployment, please work with Apptio Support to address the issue by whitelisting the manager in the proxy settings so that it passes the original manager certificate rather than generating a different one.
