A full summary of Apptio’s scheduled maintenance windows for the TBM Studio platform.

Attention
Beginning March 21, 2025 the time for the APAC region maintenance is changing from 9:00 pm AET Friday to 2:00pm UTC (1:00am Saturday AEDT/0:00am Saturday AEST)
NOTE
In addition to planned maintenance windows, unplanned or emergency maintenance may occur as extensions or additions to this schedule. In such cases, Apptio will provide notice of additional maintenance as soon as practical.



Standard Maintenance Schedule

Planned Maintenance is performed in the evening on the 3rd Friday of each month.

Start Time:

  • US – 0:00 a.m. PT / 3:00 a.m. ET (Friday evening/Saturday morning)
  • APAC – 2:00 p.m. UTC (Friday) / 0:00 a.m. AEST (Saturday) / 1:00 a.m. AEDT (Saturday)
  • EMEA – 2:00 a.m. UTC (Saturday morning)

Duration: 6 hours



GovCloud Maintenance Schedule

For Public Sector (GovCloud) customers, Planned Maintenance is performed in the evening on the 2nd Friday of each month.

Start Time: 3:00 p.m. PT / 6:00 p.m. ET (Friday evening)

Duration: 6 hours



Frequently Asked Questions

Are maintenance windows used to apply application upgrades?

No; maintenance windows are used only for the maintenance of Apptio's SaaS infrastructure. Version upgrade schedules are separate events, and are listed on the Application Release Notes page.

What is my actual downtime?

Downtime during maintenance windows may vary per customer, but on average should last ~30-60 minutes.

  • The downtime can occur at any time during the maintenance window.
  • During the brief downtime, your environment will be inaccessible for all users.
  • No calculations are triggered as a result of this maintenance.

Is the production cache cleared?

No; the cache is retained, so no calculations are required.

Can I skip a maintenance window?

No; Apptio performs maintenance our application infrastructure, which will impact all customers in the respective region.

What if an issue occurs during the maintenance window?

If we identify an issue during your maintenance window, a support ticket will be created on your behalf. Investigation status and notifications, will be sent to your System Maintenance Contacts.

What if I see issues after maintenance?

Please submit a support ticket if you have questions, issues, or concerns after a regular scheduled maintenance.

Will maintenance affect my scheduled Datalink connectors?

Yes; Datalink and Datalink Classic connectors that start or run during the maintenance may fail.

  • We recommended adjusting your connector schedules to avoid the maintenance window.
  • If that is not possible, you can review your connector status after each maintenance window to manually re-run any failed connections.
