The IBM watsonx Code Assistant product team is excited to announce the availability of watsonx Code Assistant for Red Hat Ansible Lightspeed today. The new offering meets Ansible developers where they create today in their IDE via the Ansible Visual Studio Code Extension and provides generative AI content recommendations based on natural language inputs.
Developers can use watsonx Code Assistant for Red Hat Ansible Lightspeed to modernize and build Ansible Playbook content faster: content of high quality and resiliency, especially as it is deployed into production. watsonx Code Assistant for Red Hat Ansible Lightspeed helps reduce the time developers spend on content development, while also helping expand their skill set and impact on IT organizations.
IT organizations will find the quality of content recommendations from watsonx Code Assistant for Red Hat Ansible Lightspeed to be enhanced with improved accuracy through the Granite foundation model powered by watsonx.ai. Its large language model (LLM) is trained on content from Ansible Galaxy and has been tested by Ansible experts across IBM and Red Hat.
watsonx Code Assistant for Red Hat Ansible Lightspeed prioritizes trust and transparency, embodying the guiding values that distinguish IBM’s approach to AI ethics. A key feature within the product is content matching, which provides developers with the possible origins of the generated content recommendations.
Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform users can now access the generative AI service by enabling Ansible Lightspeed within their organization’s subscription. Existing Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform customers are encouraged to speak with their Red Hat and/or IBM sales representatives to access the benefits of IBM watsonx Code Assistant for Red Hat Ansible Lightspeed.
