By Carmel Burgess posted Mon June 26, 2023 09:51 AM

The Cloud Pak for Network Automation (CP4NA) v 2.5 was released this month. In terms of technical features, you can now look forward to the following:

1. Lifecycle Management operations

  • Specify the sequence for Reconfigure or Upgrade transitions to complete.
    • For example, specify a particular component update before an application update.
  • Retry or roll back intent processes
    • If a recent intent process failed, you can retry or roll back the process

2. Relationship operations

  • Customize relationship operations so that operations are called for every, any, or just that first component instance.
    • For example, if an assembly operation is published for a component with multiple instances, then the operation is called for every component instance.

3. Installing on AWS

  • Deploy a self-managed Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform cluster in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Install CP4NA on the cluster.
