Hi, I'm interested in starting a career in data analysis. I found this infographic
Data Science in 8 Steps from DataCamp that gives a basic idea of what a data analyst needs to learn (statistics, python, R, SQL, Hadoop, etc...).
I've also seen that
IBM and
Google offer courses in data analysis on coursera (with certification).
My question is as follows; what are the chances that after completing these courses, and getting some experience in the aforementioned technologies, I could reasonably hope to land a job offer (even an internship). I don't have a degree in a related field, yet would really like to get into data analysis professionally.
I'd also appreciate any advice regarding the essential technologies that a data analysis must know (it's a wide field, I know), and what would be the most efficient path towards getting career-ready skills in them.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.
