Summary

PyTorch is an optimized tensor library for Machine Learning, particularly for Deep Learning. It is a core open source component of watsonx and IBM's AI strategy. IBM is a premier member of the PyTorch Foundation and one of the primary contributors of the PyTorch project. The project continues to evolve after the foundation has formed and many exciting things are happening. In this talk we provide an overview of deep learning, PyTorch fundamentals, and important features such as torch.compile. We also provide a tour of the many repositories in the PyTorch project and discuss how you can become a contributor.
