    Hello!
I was wondering if any of the SPSS versions work on the new Macbook air with the M2 hardware, as I was not able to find any information regarding this on the internet.

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi Sophie,
IBM SPSS began addressing this question with IBM SPSS Statistics 27.0.1.0 and macOS Big Sur
    https://community.ibm.com/community/user/datascience/blogs/todd-peterson1/2020/11/20/spss-statistics-on-macos-big-sur-110

I recently had the opportunity to install Statistics 28.0.1.1 to my new Macbook Pro 16 with M1 Max processor.  It runs great there!  As the M2 is the same family of processor, I would not expect problems due to the hardware alone.    This is similar to how Statistics will run fine on an Intel Core i5 and a Core i7. There should be no issues.

Hi Sophie, David and the IBM SPSS Community,

I was just wondering if anyone has in the meantime been able to successfully install and use SPSS on an M2 chip Mac laptop? I know in the thread referenced above and others, people have confirmed that SPSS works with the Ventura operating system and M1 chip laptops. A colleague of mine was having difficulty installing SPSS on their M2 chip Macbook Air, so I wanted to revisit this thread.

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Best,

    Alex
