to address (respond to Qs) the #openai elephant - (disclaimer my personal opinions etc.) making announcements towards or at the closing of stock markets on a Friday - for a company that is not public but is tightly coupled with many public companies (not just the overt ones but the broader ecosystem) evidences orchestration and preplanning.  Beyond the public announcements for Teams, Slack and Atlassian the impact on the Financial Services industry is potentially broader and needs a more synoptic lens in analyzing the potential impact, especially for governance and security.

For either amusement or to think deeply about the implications - Microsoft has hired Sam Altman and Greg Brockman to head up a team conducting artificial intelligence research after the pair were pushed out of OpenAI
