Thanks. I sorted it out. I had to switch them from numeric to string and back again. I am not sure why this worked but it did.

You haven't said what your table looks like or which procedure you used to create it, but the usual reason why rows or columns appear to duplicate values is the value label formatting.
If you had, say, values 10.0 and 10.1 for the variable but the format is set to zero decimals, they would both show as 10. You can increase the number of decimals for the variable for the statistic to show more of the value. Or, in a procedure such as Custom Tables, you can specify the precision of the displayed values in the Statistics subdialog.

Why does my frequency table have multiple columns for the same value. I tried to recode the variable into the same variable and I am still having this problem. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
