When people often ask me "I played with ChatGPT so what should I do next?" my answer every time is "Learn prompting". Many people get wrapped up in model selection, model tuning, trying to understand the science behind transformers and a myriad of other technically challenging subjects. In our experience building AI-powered features for the IBM Skills Network, good prompting is by far the fastest, cheapest and most effective way to get good results. Not to say that prompt and model tuning are not effective; they are. But these are much more complex techniques that need both time and money.

You don't need to be a programmer, an AI engineer or a data scientist to be a pro at prompt engineering. Best part, there is some evidence that it is a highly valued skill that can earn you very high salary. We have a free course that will get you from zero to hero on the subject of Prompt Engineering. As I mentioned before, the course is free of charge and is available to anyone with a desire to learn and a few hours of time to allocate to it. All you need is a web browser on your computer (don't recommend doing it on a smart phone).
