Meet Miho Ezawa, a prominent figure in the technology world, currently serving as a Head of AI & Data Technology Department 1 at CRESCO LTD., and an IBM Champion for six consecutive years. With a passion for sharing knowledge and empowering others, Miho has made significant contributions to the community through her expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) and her dedication to advocacy. At CRESCO, after working on a project to transfer large-scale office management overseas and acting as a field engineer for corporate payment services, she switched to corporate sales specialising in advanced technologies (artificial intelligence and communication robots). She has experienced many proposals for data utilisation and AI introduction to the management level. Currently, she provides AI implementation support to companies. In March 2016, she participated in the 2nd IBM Watson Japanese Hackathon and won the Idea Award!

In 2019, Miho was honoured with the prestigious title of IBM Champion, a role she has held with distinction for six consecutive years. This achievement is a testament to her commitment to giving back to the technology community and sharing her expertise with others. As an IBM Champion, Miho has had the opportunity to collaborate with fellow Champions from around the world, fostering a strong network of professionals dedicated to advancing the field of technology. She has also been able to participate in various events and initiatives, enabling her to share her insights and learn from other industry leaders.

Miho's favorite IBM products include Watson Discovery and Watson Natural Language Understanding. She appreciates the advanced search capabilities of Watson Discovery and the user-friendly API of Watson Natural Language Understanding, which she believes holds great promise for future advancements in text comprehension. When it comes to advocacy, Miho has a soft spot for speaking engagements, community management, and event planning. She finds these activities particularly rewarding, as they allow her to connect with like-minded individuals and make a meaningful impact on the technology community.

One of Miho's most significant accomplishments is her authorship of two books, both centered around AI development. Her first book, co-authored with IBM Champion colleagues, became an essential resource on SaaS-based AI, while her second book focused on Python natural language processing, and both books featured Watson Discovery. These achievements showcase her expertise and dedication to sharing her knowledge with others.

Despite her success, Miho remains humble and committed to continuous learning. If she were not working in technology, she would dream of pursuing a career as a surgeon like the manga character Black Jack, following her childhood dream! Miho encourages anyone interested in Champion program to take the leap and submit the application. She believes that the program offers unparalleled networking opportunities, self-improvement prospects, and a great deal of fun.
