What’s new in IBM SPSS Statistics 30.0.0
The IBM SPSS Statistics 30.0.0 comes to you with a new analysis procedure, extensions, feature enhancements, performance improvements, bug fixes, deprecation notice and security updates. This blog shall walk you through the main offerings of this latest version.
Bland Altman Analysis
Bland-Altman analysis is a non-parametric method used to evaluate the agreement between two measurements. This analysis is commonly used to compare a new measurement method against another one or a reference standard. The method involves plotting the differences between the two measurements on the ordinate (Y) axis against the corresponding values on the abscissa (X) axis. The resulting plot is called a Bland-Altman plot.
The Bland-Altman plot shows the difference between the two measurements as a function of the mean value. Points that lie above the line indicate that the second measurement tends to be higher than the first, while points below the line indicate that the second measurement tends to be lower than the first.
To run the Bland Altman Analysis, go to Analyze > Descriptive Statistics > Bland Altman Analysis...
Normality Tests and Plots
Normality tests are used to determine whether a data set follows a normal distribution, and to assess the degree of departure from normality. Univariate normality tests check whether a single variable follows a normal distribution, while multivariate normality tests check whether multiple variables follow a joint normal distribution.
Normality analysis in the IBM SPSS Statistics 30.0.0, is added as a built-in extension which includes new, existing, and enhanced tests and plots, all in one place. You can download the Normality Analysis extension from the Extension Hub.
To use the Normality analysis tests and plots, go to Analyze > Descriptive Statistics > Normality Analysis
