How you start impacts how you finish
In my sophomore year in college, I took a programming class in Pascal. I learned to code using the ‘vi’ editor. vi is weird and clunky by today’s standards, but even now, whenever I need a text editor I reach for vi, and it is the standard by which I judge all other text editors.
I only mention this because how we start something has a disproportionate impact on how we finish.
