Before that, I worked as a project manager in the field of smart farming and innovation in Rhineland-Palatinate (Germany). Daniel completed his bachelor's and master's degree in agricultural sciences at the University of Hohenheim with stays at Wageningen University and Cornell University. Daniel then took his second state examination in Rhineland-Palatinate. At the Agricultural Public Service Center Rhineland-Palatinate, Daniel is the Head of Projects in Innovation and Digital Agriculture. He focuses on smart farming and innovation in agriculture. Digitalization in agriculture makes a highly innovative contribution to the optimization of agricultural production. With AI, IoT and edge technologies, the focus is on the increased use of regional and local data for agriculture. We focus on resilient smart farming in our GeoBox and AgriRegio project - these technologies can improve the resilience of agriculture as a "critical infrastructure".
