    IBM Connected Vehicle Insights Private (CVI) Version 4.0 has reached General Availability on October 18, 2022.  This product is  On-prem, Multi Cloud.

    We have created a new  Deployment Guide AWS  which describes how to setup CVI Private into your own environment on Amazon Web Services (AWS). It includes the initial procedure for setting up your own installation server on AWS S3, which you run before you create IBM IoT Connected Vehicle Insights Private instances

    We have reworked our CVI documentation  and updated it to include details of the new release.

    The new release of Connected Vehicle Insights Private V4.0 provides the following enhancements :
    Supported Operating System:

    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 is used instead of Ubuntu 18 (has EOS in 2023)
    • Supported middleware change
      • Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) Private 7.1.7 for Hadoop storage
      • Latest versions of DB2 and Maximo integrated
    • New revised and enhanced documentation
    • Enhancement in CVI Functionalities:
      • Scale-out deployment:
        • CVI Agent system
        • Maximo (Application Server Node)
    • CDP technology adaption
    • Dynamic Map Manager: map load performance improvement
