The Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) Nov User Group events in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne brought together engineering professionals, industry leaders, and ELM enthusiasts for insightful discussions, networking, and knowledge sharing.
These sessions were vibrant opportunities for the community to exchange ideas, learn about emerging trends, and explore solutions to engineering challenges. Here is a recap of the key highlights and takeaways from the events:
ELM v7.1 was released in the beginning of Nov, there are some highlights on the new version especially on DOORS Next Gen and Reporting areas. We also provided the details about the new Rhapsody SE, the new modelling solution from ELM that help to streamline the development of complex systems, offering robust model-based system engineering (MBSE) capabilities. It enhances collaboration and traceability across multidisciplinary teams.
We then had our long-term business partner, Davyd Norris, from OliveGroveIT to present their experience in helping customer to collaborate between DNG and DOORS Classics using ReqIF. He provided tricks and tips in setting up the process which is very practical for customers who face the same challenge.
Finally, we had our support team walk us through the process in engaging with IBM support. They provided some demonstrations and tips on how to speed up the resolution time when encountering an issue with our ELM platform. This will help to smooth out the support process for a lot of customers in the future.
Again, as we move forward to 2025, we continue to encourage everyone to stay connected and engaged with our community. We will continue to provide resources, updates, and future opportunities to support the professional growth and facilitate collaboration within the engineering industry in Australia.
