I am a Technical Enablement Specialist and CICS SME for the IBM Z ISV Development Programs team since November 2020. I have experience in z/OS, z/VM, the IBM Z mainframe hardware, CICS, Db2, IMS, and a general understanding of fundamentals of programming as well as a working knowledge of High-Level Assembler (HLASM) and COBOL.
Prior to my current station, I was a Mainframe System Administrator Apprentice on the same team from November 2019 to November 2020. Working in IBM’s Apprenticeship Program, I gained other relevant skills in the Information Technology & Services industry aside from the technical skills outlined in the program's curriculum, including experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, general customer service, Adobe Creative Suite, and various levels of project management and administration proficiencies.
Additionally, I retired from the Texas Army National Guard in March 2024 as an experienced Parachute Rigger, I served for 8 years (since April 2016). I’ve been a soldier with the 294th Quartermaster Company, 36th Infantry Division since January 2017. My time in the military has given me a plethora of exceptional tools, resources, training and experiences that have shaped my character and values over the years and continues to do so long after my ETS. I have learned many priceless lessons in leadership, mental toughness, teamwork, mission focus, endurance, and many basic, physical and technical skills pertaining to my MOS.
