My name is Bushair Alkatib and I’m currently working as the CEO & Principal Solution Architect at Aladiyat for Information Technology Co. in Madinah, KSA.
I have more than 25 years of experience in SBM/IBM as a senior IBM/SAP Consultant and Solutions Architect. I’m also a certified SAP professional with expertise is in SAP CO-PA, FI and Industry/Process Integration both in ECC, and S/4 Hana. As a Hypercare Specialist in multiple SAP modules, I also have implementation experience in IFRS 8, 14 and 15 compliance controlling and reporting.
I’ve spent most of my life in Saudi Arabia. I came to the Kingdom in 1968, when I was just an infant and spent my early days in Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam and Madinah. So I am well aware of the local culture.
I went back to India to complete my Engineering degree in Electronics and Communications from Anjuman Engineering College in India. I started my career as an Internal Trainee at Pragati Computer, Chennai, which was the first company to introduce UNIX systems in India. After a year of training experience, I returned to Saudi Arabia and started my long term career at SBM/IBM.
I have always lived my life with my own principles and values. One of the most important values that has helped me throughout my career is “Don’t say yes when you want to say no”. I believe that human beings need to live in a more environmental-friendly manner for a sustainable future. Technology can help drive this paradigm shift in different ways.
