  • 1.  MEMBER DFHPLTB1 NOT FOUND on CICS 5.6 version

    I have one CICS issue when starting CICS region (CICSP). The issue is as the below.

    Where is the member DFHPLTB1?



    STC36716 @05 DFHSI1578D ER4CICSP PLTPI specified cannot be found. Reply GO or CANCEL.

    STC36716  R 05, GO

    Hey Jianfu,

    The region on startup is not finding the data set member where your region's program list table (PLT) is stored. Where the PLT is stored on the operating system and where CICS is looking for it can vary from configuration to configuration. If this issue is related to one of your RDP systems, can you please send an email to with a copy of the issue you posted here as well as your system name? I'd be happy to help you out.

    Verify the member containing PDS is listed in DFHRPL Concatenation.

    Also check if the PDS is mentioned in LPA list, because CICS scans the LPA as well if not found.

    Make sure that you have the //DFHTABLE DD pointing to the source library that contains your PLT source members.
