Thanks, that's a great idea. Splitting the roles would allow me to dynamically change the allocation.

It sounds like you would need to build roles around how you want to direct the costs. You could then use the Advanced Labor Allocation Rules to designate the GL Account each role would allocate to.
So if you have an existing role of Developer 5, you might need to have Developer 5A, Developer 5B, etc. And each of those roles would allocate to a separate account. Or if you can distinguish the rules using one of the other fields, that might work as well.

No worries. I think the issue is the labor tab is not redirecting to any GL account. I can use the allocation rules in the configuration to create a basic rate card role wise and allocate expenses.
But if I need more flexibility and want to redirect individual rows in the Labor tab to different accounts, I can't do that as there are no options that will allow me to do so.

I don't have Planning anymore, but I used to. My next guess would be to go into your company profile and check your labor summarization options.

It just doesn't show up, I have not seen the amounts flow to summary from Labor.

Have you seen it in the summary tab before and it is just not recently not showing up?

The quantities, end dates and all the fields are populated. I can see the month wise forecast in the Labor tab for the resources. Base comp is also showing up in the Labor tab.
Still nothing flows to Labor tab.

You may want to doublecheck the quantities of the resources and the start date/end dates. There might be some other required fields that aren't populated that I am not thinking of.

Hi, has anyone had difficulty getting amounts to get to summary tab in planning ? Currently I'm importing labor data in the labor tab in planning. However when I go to Summary, the amount is missing.
I believe summary tab should be pulling information from the Labor tab . Could it be a mapping issue or a reference issue? What should I do to make sure the data shows up in summary tab after I update labor tab?
