    But looks like the only option we are now left with is SVN. Fellow IBM developers, please let me know the SVN plugin that we can use for RAD version control features within IDE.

    As per checking the first link you posted, someone already advised below:

    To install the SVN plug-in into RAD, please follow these steps:

    1. Select Help > Install New Software...
    2. Copy/paste the following link into the Work with text box: http://download.eclipse.org/technology/subversive/4.0/update-site/
    3. Expand and select the Subversive checkboxes in the list box
    4. Click Next, follow the wizard and click Finish
