Every time the project starts, the error CRFCN0355W appears. How do I fix this without updating IBM RFT to a newer version? Thanks!

    Hi Denis,

I am the Rational Testing client advocacy manager, and I posed your question to our development team. Here is what they shared:

The RFT Project was created by a version of RFT that is newer only by the minor version and being opened by an older version of the product.
We strongly recommend that you upgrade to a newer version of RFT.

    Hi  Marianne.
The testing application uses Java version 6. This condition is mandatory. This Java in the Windows system must be the main one and be registered in the Windows system variables in the path parameter. IBM RFT 10 + Java 6 do not work, even if Java 8 is installed next to it. Therefore, we had to roll back to IBM RFT 9.2. However, a warning window appears every time the project is launched. We have written more than 2000 automated tests in our project. IBM RFT 10 changed the project for us, but as it turned out, we can't use it. Please send a fix for the reverse modification of the project for RFT 9. If this is not possible, it is a logical trap from which there is no way out.

    Hi Denis,

If your application is using 6, it should not be a problem for latest versions of RFT.

The Java used by an application and Java used by RFT are different. If your application Java gets enabled, then we should be able to interact with it.

    This I would suggest:

1- Install the latest version of RFT(10.5.3)

2- Enable the Java used by your application in RFT.

3- Try it out. If you encounter an issue, please file a ticket for us, we will troubleshoot it.

    Thx

    Ibra

When configured in windows java6, rft starts to fail at startup. Freezes and gives errors. Try to simulate this situation.
