How to split resource monitoring by location in test result

  • 1.  How to split resource monitoring by location in test result

    Posted Wed May 26, 2021 06:12 AM

Setting up a VU Schedule to run a series of HTTP tests against a web app, I have 'Enabled resource monitoring' (under 'Resource Monitoring' for the schedule) and added two windows servers as locations, selecting 'Windows Performance Monitor' as the data source and have selected the resources data I want to collect.

When viewing test schedule results, on the resources screen I was expecting to be able to view the resources data by their sources but it appears to be a collation of all sources data into one. When I expand the 'All Sources' tab I only have the option to view 'All Sources'.

How do I split the resource data by the source?

on the top row of tabs for the Peformance report there's

    1. name of schedule
    2. status (running, complete, ramping, etc
    3. Report type pull down, default Peformance Report
    4. Entire Run
    5. All Sources

Click on the All Sources tab and select which Resource Monitoring locations you want to see

I used 10.1.2, 10.1.3 is the latest release, if this is not working for you guessing you're on an older version of RPT, this was fixed as an internal defect
