Title:
OVERVIEW:Rhapsody is an extremely flexible modelling tool - used for Software Models, Systems Models and also System-of-Systems Models. In this presentation you will see a demonstration of a System-of-Systems model, created in response to the INCOSE Tool Vendor Challenge. You will see how the original INCOSE problem statement (a generalized fire fighting/emergency response capability) was elaborated into a robust, coherent set of UPDM views. You will also see how the model was integrated into the development lifecycle - linked into DOORS for Requirements management and Rational Team Concert for project management.
SPEAKER:Andy Lapping is a technical specialist with over 10 years experience in the specification and design of embedded systems with a specialization in Model Based Systems and Software Engineering. Andy is a subject matter expert and recognized world leader in the SysML modeling language and the Harmony process and its application in embedded systems. He has authored many of the classes in this area that are in use in the field today, and is a content developer for the OMG SysML Certification examinations. Andy is the author of the Systems Engineering Toolkit – a key component of the Harmony process, and the UPDM Toolkit - a set of tools for those creating MoDAF and DoDAF models.
