Symptom: Inconsistent Results in Audit Log

Data should reference Period/Fiscal Year, but it loads as Month/Fiscal Year instead.

What's going on

Formatting needs to change based on whether you'd like period versus month to show up in your results.

When using the Use file name month and year option for the Time Period field in a Datalink connector, your file name is formatted this way:

• {PPP}_{FYYY} the audit log entry will result in P11:FY2018
• {MM}_{FYYY} the audit log entry will result in Nov:FY2018

Solution

Use this formatting based on the results you'd like to see:

• Period Formatting: When using the {PPP}_{FYYY} format periods in the file name should be one of P1, P2, P3, etc.
• Month Formatting: When using the {MM} format, months in the file name should be one of the following:
  • Jan, Feb, Mar, etc. 
  • January, February, March, etc.
  • 01, 02, 03, etc.
  • 1, 2, 3, etc.
