Print to PDF setup 7.6.8 version

Manual Procedures for PDF Printing setup:

The New version of Scheduler 7.6.8 use now the Chrome Headless function for the PDF generation what improve the experience and results on the PDF generation from the Graphical Views,
- For PDF printing support the Google Chrome or Chromium headless (version 60+) for HTML to PDF conversion has to be installed on the Maximo server in order to have it enabled in Maximo Scheduler.

1) Install Google Chrome or Chromium headless (version 60+) at the Maximo application server machine -https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2017/04/headless-chrome

2) After the installation is done, you need to set up the following Maximo System Property "skd.pdf.converter.path"
– Example on Windows: C:\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe
– Example on Linux: /usr/local/sbin/chrome

- Once all the steps are completed, the 'Print to PDF' action shall be ready for use at the Graphical Scheduling and Graphical Scheduling Large Projects applications.

3) Update the "mxe.doclink.doctypes.defpath" system property to point to the location where the PDF files will be generated. It can be any folder in the Maximo Server that Maximo would have permission to create files and folders without restrictions.

4) The system property "skd.pdf.export.baseurl" is optional and should be updated only in cases that the user has access to a specific/secure URL but Maximo should use a different base url to export the PDF Files.

5) For Windows and WebSphere you will need to specify the "skd.pdf.export.basedir"- Path the ExportPdf.jsp - Example: C:\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\ctgAppSrv01\installedApps\ctgCell01\MAXIMO.ear\maximouiweb.war\webclient\utility\tg once permissions problems can happen of step 3.

Hi Scott, I can share a sample Example of outputs for you, if you want to share more details about the type of data and range you are looking please let me know. In the latest patch 7.6.1.3 we had good improvement on this Library for export PDF. If you prefer we can have a call over your demands send me an invitation if you prefer: psolfa@br.ibm.com.

The tip is to set the Browser setting to align with the Print settings you will be using at the Graphical View.

Does anyone have a sample of what the output would look like?  In the past when trying to print the gantt view it would not be of useful viewing size.
