Having access to the In-App Promotion feature allows users in Apptio to take control of the project promotions between environments by running preset configurations.

To get a new promotion configuration created. Please do the following:

• Step 1: Open the below excel sheet containing a template for entering in-app configurations.
• Step 2: Fill out all columns for each configuration needed.

         Name – Name of the configuration being created

         Project(s) – Projects to be promoted in configuration

         Log users off Yes/No – If logins should be disabled when promotion is ran

         Source Environment – Environment the project(s) being promoted are coming from

         Destination Environment – Environment that will be receiving the project(s)

         Initial Email – Users to be notified when configuration is run

• Step 2a: Contact your CSM if assistance is needed with filling out the excel sheet
• Step 3: Submit a case to Apptio Support with excel sheet attached to have the configuration created.
